When this call came into my radio show on AM-630-KHOW, I knew it was a scam. My caller said she had found a used car on Craig’s List and the price was unbelievable! It was a Nissan Pathfinder, with 61,000 miles for only $2,500. There was one big catch! The seller would only work through “eBay Consumer Protection” (which does not really exist).
The representative for the fake eBay agency told my listener that she had to pay with five pre-paid credit cards @ $500 each. She was to call “eBay” with the credit card numbers as soon as she got them. That’s when she got suspicious and called me. And that’s when I called the fake “eBay Consumer Protection”. That’s where this video picks up (BTW it is mainly an audio file with filler video of “behind-the-scene” shots of my radio show).
