Terms and Condition
Ralph ,Now that my wood floor installation project is complete, I’d like to comment on the whole process and tell you how pleased my wife and I are with the results. Our project was to remove the carpet in our dining area, hallway and guest bathroom off the entryway and tie it in seamlessly with our existing red oak floors in the entryway and kitchen. We wanted to keep the existing floor color in our 15 year old house. We also wanted it to be a turnkey job whereby the contractor would be responsible for moving out the heavy dining room furniture (six major pieces}. toilet, and remove baseboards plus move the refrigerator to sand, stain and finish the kitchen. After completion, everything would be replaced and the baseboard caulked and painted. Built in shelving in an adjacent living room would be covered with plastic. We researched Wood Flooring Contractors as best we could and selected several to bid based on google comments, BBB reviews, recommendations, and any other information we could obtain with an internet search. Our selection of your firm was based on a combination of price (you weren’t the lowest but 8% less than the highest), itemized bid where we could see the cost of everything to done, Terms and Condition (it had to be understandable to us and not something where a lawyer would be needed to clarify), and a level of comfort. No one but you suggested we re-nail the subfloor to the joists to eliminate the squeaks as part of the scope of work. We lived with the squeaks so long that we no longer noticed them. The people you sent to do the job were outstanding. Luke was main installer. He was ably assisted at times by Jeremy and Joe. They were courteous, extremely competent, friendly and very hard workers. I never saw them take a break aside from a short lunch. They were usually here at or before 7 AM. Luke explained each day what was to done so were were fully aware of the progress. Kaylee was always available at your main number to answer any questions we had.We did elect one option which was the Bona Atomic Trailer- an outside trailer with a huge vacuum for dust containment while sanding. There was still a little dust but most of the dust occurred not by sanding, but removing the carpet which exposed all the sheet rock fragments and dust from the original construction. It seems like tract home builders cover debris with carpet to save time from cleaning up. Luke vacuumed this immediately but the dust had escaped upon carpet removal. Thanks for a great job and our special thanks to Luke for a job well done.
